Some early Sunday thoughts….

For DC class I have been reading Inside Out by Dr Larry Crabb, and the current train of thought is this…

  1. We were created for and to live in perfection. We were meant to walk and talk with God. God meant for us to have not only a perfect relationship with him but also with each other.
  2. Sin has ruined that perfection. It introduced imperfections deep into our being all the way to the building block of life, DNA. We struggle with not having that perfection. We long for the fulfillment of that perfection.
  3. Every pleasure we seek, is us trying to achieve the perfection that we were meant to live in. Every relationship we seek is us trying to find that perfect relationship that God meant for him and us to have.
  4. God’s creation is perfection he knows it, we do not trust him. We will not see that perfection again until we see his face. Then we will find pleasure and relationships that fill every empty spot in our soul from the “Inside Out”

Oh God I pray that the Church wakes up to this soon does your will and seeks perfection through you and only you. Not through the empty pleasures and relationships of the world. God you are the only one who can provide what we were truly made for; YOU!!!!
